Course Duration One Year Full-time
QQI Level 5 Certificate in Photography
Established over 18 years, the Photography course has a well-earned reputation for producing high quality graduates. Designed to provide an exciting and comprehensive introduction to those with a serious interest in Photography, it will help to increase each student’s knowledge and confidence as a photographer.
Throughout the course students will investigate various aspects of Digital Photography studio practice and examine various aspects of the photography industry. On completion of the course students will have a comprehensive portfolio of work.
Entry Requirements
Candidates should be able to demonstrate a serious interest in Photography and, when called for interview, should bring a selection of their own work (15–20 images). Candidates are also requested to bring a reference.
Progression
On completion, students will have a strong Portfolio of images that will direct them towards employment; setting up their own photography enterprise; or entry into 3rd level courses. Students may apply through the QQI Higher Education Links Scheme to a range of courses at universities and colleges of technology.
